Stress is often a component in gaining weight, then making lots of changes in diet can be stressful, hitting the gym can be another form of stress and before you know it stress has caused stress behaviours which derail attempts to lose weight.
This 6 week relaxation course is designed to reduce stress, help curb emotional eating, increase digestion, deepen sleep, increase hormones which make us feel good (so we don’t have to eat to fill the void).
We will use acupressure points, self massage, gentle stretching, breathing and meditation to sooth our nervous systems and calm our minds. At the end of the course you will have learned about the wide and varied positive effects of relaxation and how that can help with weight loss, plus you’ll have a toolkit of soothing skills to take with you.
The course starts on January 24th for 6 weeks. Each week you will receive one recorded hour long relaxation session and a meditation. You can pick whatever is the best time in your day/ week which is the most relaxing and at the end of the week the next video will go up. There is a lot of supportive research to show it takes six weeks for the benefits of the practice to be measurable and tangible.
