Mindfulness and Relaxation

This session incorporates why it’s beneficial to take time to breathe, settle the mind and relax the body.

Many of us know its good to relax but we don’t always know why, how far reaching the benefits can be, or why its any different to sofa time bingeing a favourite show. In this session we explore they physical, emotional and mental benefits of calming the nervous system. This is particularly useful in the workplace, reducing adrenaline can help us be less reactive, so we deal better with colleagues, can help improve decision making and even encourage creative thinking. In this session I share useful and practical approaches and techniques as well as guiding a relaxation. The session leaves the participants feeling empowered and chilled out.

Seated Stretches and Self Massage

This is a popular session because it works for both office workers who sit at desks as well as people who do a lot moving around in their workplace. Most of us carry some tightness around the neck and shoulders, in this session we explore how to stretch, self massage and alleviate this tension, all while seated. This leaves the participants feeling relaxed with lots of useful techniques to use going forward.

 

Yoga and Relaxation

If your organisation has an area suitable for yoga, I can design a class, or course, for the attendees. I incorporate several styles and approaches to yoga, all centre around empowering people to find what poses feel right for them. These sessions are laid back, fun and inclusive.

Self Compassion

Being kinder in how we speak to ourselves can lead to a much more sustainable, and many cases an even more productive, way to navigate life and work. A compassionate outlook helps calm our nervous system which, in turn, can increase creativity and improve decision making.

In this session we address some of the myths about self compassion as well as acknowledging why it can be challenging. We’ll look at a number of approaches, practices and benefits so there will be lots of ways to take away and use going forward.

We have been lucky enough to work with Tatum for a number of years on everything from yoga and mindfulness workshops, to facilitating group sessions and speaking at our conferences . Tatum is able to make yoga accessible and fun to even the biggest skeptics, and enable people - no matter their physical challenges or limitations - to take part and come away feeling relaxed and refreshed.
